MY STORY
I'm Sacha Adlard, your hands-on growth partner.
I know first-hand how frustrating it can be for an entrepreneur to have a product or skill they’re so passionate about, but lack the time or expertise to manage everything else it takes to make a business thrive.
I spent 7 years at a direct-to-consumer wine company, gaining broad experience across multiple departments and a deep understanding of what it takes to run a high-growth business.
As the company grew I realised my passion was taking a hands-on approach to business, and working across multiple touch points, rather than being pigeonholed into one.
So I set up Rise Consultancy. My goal is to take the overwhelm away from entrepreneurs and small businesses - whether you’re unsure where to start or struggling to grow because you’re stretched too thin.

A success story:
Bake It Better
When I began working with Matt’s subscription business, growth had stalled at around 500 members. His passion was baking and creating content, but running the business side was time consuming and overwhelming. I began by carrying out a full website audit, competitor review, and price modelling. Off the back of this, we re-launched the website — and within just three months, subscriber numbers had grown by over 35%.
With this improved customer journey in place, I turned my attention to other areas of optimisation.

I launched a newsletter to keep prospective customers warm and engaged, as well as introducing targeted outreach to cancelled customers and customers who’d dropped off at checkout. I tested offers such as free trials and ad-hoc membership discounts and measured their impact on customer lifetime value.

Matt’s free recipes were already popular on Instagram, so I created a dedicated recipe hub on his website and partnered with an ad network to monetise it. I set up a Pinterest page to drive traffic to these pages (gaining over 3 million impressions in the first six months), and we saw annual website traffic leap from 6,000 visits to 130,000.

To keep subscribers engaged, I developed a free members-only e-book, introduced exclusive giveaways, and implemented a refer a friend scheme. These initiatives alongside consistent communication with members resulted in 30 day churn reducing by over 40%.

Behind the scenes, I streamlined reporting, implemented a cash flow forecast and kept on top of the business’ accounts, giving Matt the tools to keep on top of performance at all times.
By taking care of the business strategy and operations, I freed Matt to focus on what he does best. Together, we built a sustainable business model with multiple revenue streams and a growing, loyal customer base of over 1,500 (and counting!).
